Overview
The Roaders Plus Hotel Taipei is a 4-star offering, that is conveniently located right next to Taipei main station. The hotel is newly opened and you can really see that once you walk into the reception area. Everything is pretty much brand new and it almost feels like you are the first guests staying there. We stayed in the Roaders Plus in Taipei in January of 2023 and our review is based on our experiences.
Top Tips
- When you arrive initially make sure you look for the yellow Roaders Plus sign which is on the third or fourth floor of the building. The reception area of the hotel is on the 4th floor. So, when you initially walk into the building make sure you head through to the elevators and up to the reception.
- Although breakfast is not included in any of the room rates, there is a breakfast service on the 4th floor. You can get filled croissants, burgers and hotdogs. All for a reasonable price.
- You may see two hotel listings for the Roaders Plus when you are looking to book. There is the “Roaders Plus Hotel Taipei Station” and the “Roaders Plus Hotel Theme”. These are effectively the same hotel, they are just located on different floors. The check in area for both parts of the hotel is on the same location. The 4th floor.
- If you are looking to book into the Roaders Plus, be sure to book directly via their website where they have the lowest rates on offer.

Character and Aesthetic
The Roaders Plus hotel has a really great aesthetic to it. The rooms are tastefully decorated and there is a premium feel to them. The 4th floor, which is the main reception and socializing area has a fun carnival style aesthetic to it. Its a fun spot and is finished to a really high standard.
There is a great seating area with drinks fridge where beers can be purchased. It’s a perfect spot to kick off your night if you’re off out on the town.
Check-In
The check in process was very smooth. From arrival at the hotel to being in our room it only took around 5 minutes. The staff are really efficient and there was always someone free, so not matter what time of the day you went to the check-in desk. There was someone there to help you out.
Location
You cant get much better for a location in Taipei then that of the Roaders Plus hotel. Located right next to Taipei main station. This spot is super convenient for making the most of your trip to Taipei.
If you coming in from Taoyuan international airport. The express train drops you at Taipei main station, which is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
The surrounding area around the hotel is bustling and there is endless choice of great restaurants and bars.
The hotel itself takes up a number of floors within larger building and the main reception is located on floor 4. We were staying on one of the higher (floor 27) and had some stunning views of the Taipei skyline and the 101 building.
Amenities
The amenities on offer are good. The hotel has a unique aesthetic to it. It very much plays up to a carnival style aesthetic in the main lobby area. There is a large projector screen with loads of seats and just a general nice atmosphere. There is a beer fridge where you can purchases drinks for a reasonable price and kick back in the seating area.
There is also a complimentary tea station just to the right of reception which was a nice touch. As well as bottled water for free.
Kids Play Areas
The Roaders Plus has some great areas for kids to play. The main playroom area is nicely kitted out with climbing frames and slides. All in a padded area. Kids under 8 will love this spot. There is also a ball pit room which is fun for the adults too.

Laundry Facilites
They have a great laundry room, which seem to be pretty prevalent in Taiwanese hotels. This was super convenient as we were travelling for a few weeks, so it was great to have the facilities to wash and dry our clothes. The machine are coin operated and cost $50 TWD per cycle for both the washer and dryer. The reception can provide you change too if you need to break some notes.
The only thing this the Roaders Plus was missing was a gym. Given its 4-star rating its one amenities we would have expected to see, but given the amount of walking you will probably be doing when visiting Taipei
The Service
Everyone that we dealt with was super helpful and there seemed to be a decent ratio of staff to guests in the check in area.
One of the elements we would have liked to have seen was room cleanings each day. Cleaners aren’t offered at the Roaders Plus. You can get fresh towels from reception each day.
Is the Roaders Plus Hotel Taipei a Family Friendly option?
Yes, the Roaders Plus is a great option if you’re looking a family friendly hotel in Taipei. The Roaders Plus cater for families in a number of ways. There are great family rooms available that are spacious and decent value for money. There is also a great kids playroom area and a separate ball pit room. The carnival aesthetic of the hotel will also go down well with the kids.
Cleanliness
The whole place was spotless. From the reception, laundry areas, to the rooms. Everything was really well looked after. Taiwan in general is a super clean country where you will very rarely see litter and the
Price Range + Packages
Given the quality of this hotel the average price for the Roaders Plus is very competitive. The average price of a mid range room at the Roaders Plus is around a $100 USD a night, which compared to a lot of other 4 star offerings in the area is very good. The Roaders Plus also boasts some great ratings across all the main review sites.
Food + Restaurant Options
The food options are a little limited at the hotel itself. There is no main restaurant, but there is a food truck style offering in the main reception area. Here you can get breakfast each day. At a very reasonable cost.

Give the hotels location, there is so much choice of restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So, we liked getting out there and exploring the food culture. Some of our top picks of restaurants within are short distance were the below.
Su Hung 蘇杭餐廳 (15 minute walk from the Roaders)
Location – No. 2-1, Section 1, Jinan Rd, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taiwan 100
This Shanghainese restaurant serves up some serious eats at a decent price. They have English menus too to make the experience that little bit smoother. Our top recommendations is the Dongpo pork. It was literally cooked to perfection.
Din Tai Fung Mitsukoshi Nanxi Restaurant 鼎泰豐 南西店 (19 minute walk from the Roaders)
Location – 104, Taiwan, Taipei City, Zhongshan District, Nanjing W Rd, 12號B2
If you are looking for a taste of Taiwanese food, then look no further then Din Tai Fung. The food here is impeccable, reasonably price for the quality and the service is top notch. Be prepared to wait for this spot. With the wait times be up to an hour and a half during peak times. So, go early.
Rooms Types
There are 10 different room types on offer at the Roaders Plus, but you cant really go wrong with any of the room choices. All of the rooms are of a really good finish. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms have great showers and some lovely fixture’s and fittings. The size of all of the room categories is really generous for Taipei standards.
When we visited we stayed in a family suite, which is the biggest room in the Roaders Plus. We have highlighted three of the room categories below.
Deluxe Family Room

These rooms are massive. Coming in at 40 square meters, there was a ton of space in the main bedroom area. There was also a nice seating area and a huge bathroom. The bathroom was really equipped with double sinks and even a free standing bathtub. The bathroom was finished in a very luxurious way.

These room can easily accommodate 4 people and a small child. Its the perfect options for families or a group of friends.
Superior Double Room
This is a perfect sized room if you are travelling as a couple or a solo traveller. Its got a great double bed, large TV and a high quality bathroom. If you’re looking for a more affordable room to base yourself in Taipei. This is a great option.
Luxury Double Room
If you are looking for a room that has a little more space compared to the Superior double then the luxury double is a great option. Coming in at 30 square meters this room has a great lounge area thats perfect for relaxing or getting some work done.
Conclusion
The Roaders Plus Hotel is a serious offering in the 4-star category. Given its reasonable price point, quality, size of rooms, and perfect location. It makes this one of the best 4-star offerings in Taipei to base yourself on your next getaway.

A. Wi-Fi is available throughout the whole hotel. We found that the internet speeds were very fast. We had no issues streaming and making video calls.
Q. What local attractions are there?
A. There is a huge amount to see and do in Taipei. As the hotel is so centrally located its means that all the main sights are easy to get to via the MRT (Subway) or buses. We highly recommend checking out the Beitou hot springs, which are a short MRT ride away. Also a trip to the mountain side town of Jiufen is a must do. This picturesque village has some serious photo op’s and is a 40 minute bus ride from the Roaders Plus.
