The Dreams brand is a family-friendly offering. They have so much on offer to make your vacation run as smoothly as possible. From kids/teens clubs, food options for the pickiest of eaters, great activities, and a level of luxury of a 5-star resort. You really can’t go wrong in choosing a Dreams resort.
If you are looking for an adult-only experience, the Dreams is not the resort for you. Luckily the AMResorts collection does have a number of adults-only brands that can deliver a similar experience to the Dreams. We recommend checking out the Secrets and Zoëtry resorts. Both of these are premium 5-star offerings with the Zoëtry being the most luxurious offering.
What are Dreams resorts known for?
Dreams resorts are 5-star all-inclusive offerings that are known for their great level of luxury and service. They are family-friendly resorts and have really solid facilities to make your getaway run as smoothly as possible.
The biggest standout for us at Dreams resorts is their consistency. Dreams resorts are normally on the bigger side, but they always hit out of the park in regards to their standard of food, service, and facilities. Dreams resorts are like a well-oiled machine and consistency is evident no matter what Dreams resort you are staying on.
Is the Preferred Club at the Dreams worth it?
For us, it is kind of dependent on which resort you are visiting. For the bigger resorts that typically sell out frequently. It can be worth getting preferred status as it gives you access to secluded and private areas that elevate your experience.
You get a good few features with Preferred club and these were the features that we saw the most value in.
- Private lounge and reserved beachside/pool areas. This is our top feature. We love the poolside cabanas that are available at most Dreams resorts and reserved for Preferred Club guests
- Private check-in and check-out. Again for the busier resorts, this can be a lifesaver. There is nothing worse than arriving when the check-in area is slammed
Are you supposed to tip at Dreams Resorts?
Yes, you should tip when you are visiting a Dreams resort. We have visited multiple Dreams resorts and the service is top quality. Although the all-inclusive package does include taxes and gratuities. It is customary to provide the staff with tips.
What is the difference between Dreams and Secrets?
Both the Dreams and Secrets are very similar offerings. Both resorts are part of the AMResorts collection. They are both all-inclusive and 5-star resorts. In a lot of cases, the resorts are located in the same complex. For example, in the Playa Mujeres location. Both resorts are located within the same complex.
